LaFarm continues to expand its reach within Lafayette’s curriculum, partnering with a new record of 15 courses this year.  Among these, were several new courses in the humanities that we are particularly proud of, demonstrating LaFarm’s value to all of the liberal arts.  For example, in REL 240 students toured and worked on the farm before reflecting on how agricultural life and work may shape religious traditions and beliefs.  In ART 155, students learned about outdoor photography techniques, including panoramic shots.  In another new partnership, ChE 375 took produce from the farm into the lab to learn about food science, from quantifying the “crunchiness” of different lettuce varieties, to measuring color loss in boiling sweet potatoes.

See what’s in store for 2024!
